Operation case

International sourcing for a domestic manufacturer

The client buys an input landed in Mexico. Aurea manages everything that happens before that.

The case

From an international supplier to our client's production line.

Aurea Trade structures international sourcing operations end to end: sourcing, purchasing, importing, inventory and nationwide distribution.

International sourcing for a domestic manufacturer

A Mexican manufacturer needs an industrial input on a recurring basis to sustain production: 240 tons per month, distributed among three operating sites. The product is available on better commercial terms abroad, but buying it directly means coordinating the supplier, international payments, ocean logistics, customs clearance, inventory, working capital and deliveries to different plants.

Aurea negotiates directly with the foreign producer, consolidates the purchase order and makes the international payment. It imports the goods as the owner, holds them in a strategic warehouse as its own inventory and sells them to the buyer with scheduled deliveries based on actual consumption.

The client no longer manages multiple suppliers and receives the product cleared through Mexican customs, available in Mexico and delivered according to its consumption schedule.

The problem we solve

The buyer could import directly, but would have to advance capital, carry inventory, manage foreign suppliers, coordinate the import and absorb deviations in lead times, costs and availability. Aurea turns that chain into a single commercial relationship.

The client buys an input landed in Mexico. Aurea manages everything that happens before that.

Local inventory

Inventory in Mexico absorbs the international transit time: each arrival restocks the warehouse and the plants receive partial deliveries according to their consumption, without dropping below safety stock.
